Additional charges

Bacterial cultures are routinely forwarded in freeze-dried form. A lab fee of 30,00 EUR will be added for bacterial cultures requested on agar.

A discount of 10% on the price of the strains is offered when ten or more strains are ordered at the same time.

VAT will be charged, if applicable.

Each order of biological material is subject to a handling, packaging, shipping and bank fee of:

  • 15,00 EUR for orders within Belgium
  • 40,00 EUR for orders within the EU and Switzerland
  • 80,00 EUR for orders within the rest of the world

All orders for Biohazard Group 1 strains are sent by courier.

Shipping of Biohazard Group 2 strains must follow the special requirements from the UN Model Regulations for correct packaging and shipping of Dangerous Goods. This implicates that a special type of packaging must be used and that the parcel must be transported by a recognized courier.

In these cases the costs for handling, packaging, shipping and bank fee are:

  • 45,00 EUR for deliveries within Belgium
  • 75,00 EUR for orders to EU countries
  • 90,00 EUR for orders within the rest of the world

In exceptional cases, bacterial strains are supplied frozen on dry ice. Such shipments are sent using a recognized courier (see Shipment of Biohazard group 2 strains). An extra fee for the dry ice and special packaging will be charged. A detailed price will be given upon request.
