Further information: Designed for the expression of unfused proteins after BamHI digestion and S1 nuclease treatment of the 5' sticky ends.
This plasmid contains a 52 bp AluI fragment of human interferon β gene (nucleotide 5 to nucleotide 57 of the mature hIFNB sequence) in front of the portable Shine-Dalgarno (SD) region.
The SD sequence is excisable with SalI and XbaI.
This plasmid can also be used for the expression of fused proteins with HindIII.
