Plasmid name: pPLSTi322 (LMBP 1812)
|Price category:||Cat. 1 (cf. price list)|
|Status:||GeneCorner non-core plasmid|
|Cloned DNA:||Satellite tobacco necrosis virus (STNV); with insertion|
|Promoter:||Phage λ major leftward promoter (λ PL)|
|Selection marker:||Ampicillin (amp)|
|Replicon:||Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin|
|Host range:||Escherichia coli; use strains with a cI function|
|Further information:||This plasmid is derived from pPLST10. After a partial AvaII digest (nucleotide position 322 of STNV), partial filling in and S1 nuclease treatment, the NcoI-EcoRI linker (TCCATGGGAATTCT) was inserted.
The impact of this treatment is not clear, but yet is known that the amino acids reading frame moved up one nucleotide and a stop codon is found inside the coat protein gene.
Name mentioned in Van Emmelo et al. (1984) is pSTNVN322.
Other names of the plasmid are pSTPU1L3 and pPLSTNVA21.
