Further information: The plasmid was constructed by allelic exchange of the Y. enterocolitica yopD gene of pYV40 with the yopDΔ121-165 mutant gene of pMSL19.
The Y. enterocolitica yopDΔ121-165 gene lacks codons 121 to 165.
The resulting Y. enterocolitica strain produces all yop proteins, including a truncated yopD protein.
Other name of the plasmid is pYV40 yopD.
