Genecorner:

-

Cloned DNA: Mouse cadherin 1 cDNA (Cdh1, E-cad, CDH1); fragment
Promoter: Escherichia coli lac operon promoter
Ribosome
binding site:
Ribosome binding site (RBS) of the Escherichia coli lac Z gene (lacZ)
Terminator: -
Selection marker: Ampicillin (amp)
Replicon: Escherichia coli plasmid pMB1 origin
Host range: Escherichia coli
Parental clone: pUC19
Further information: This plasmid was constructed as follows: a 616 bp EcoRI-AvaI fragment, containing part of the coding sequence of mouse E-cadherin, was blunted (Mung Bean Nuclease) and inserted into the SmaI site of pUC19.
The orientation of the inserted fragment is not known.
The plasmid can be used as a probe vector.
When cloning a fragment downstream from the lac promoter it may be advisable to use lacI(q) strains in order to prevent fortuitous expression of a possibly noxious polypeptide.
The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727440.1.
