| Further information: | This plasmid was derived from pBR322 by insertion of a 1.2 kb HaeII fragment (blunted with S1 nuclease) from phage P1Cm, containing the chloramphenicol resistance gene, into the unique EcoRI site (blunted with S1 nuclease). The plasmid carries, from position 739 to 1220, a 482 bp sequence which duplicates, in the opposite orientation, a section located at the end of the tetracycline gene (position 2045 to 2526). The nucleotide sequence of pBR325 corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number L08855.1, and adapted to the sequence of pBR322: two nucleotides between the tetracycline resistance gene and the origin were eliminated. |
