Further information: | pBK-1 was constructed by ligating the 5.1 kb BamHI-EcoRI fragment from the BK virus (BKV; Gardner strain) to the 2.6 kb BamHI-EcoRI fragment from pML. As a result, the BKV late genes were disrupted. pML (or pML-I) is a pBR322 derivative with deletion of the poison sequences (from pBR322 position 1094 to 2483). The nucleotide sequence of this plasmid corresponds with the EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database accession number LT727166.1. |
